Hello to everybody! How you would have understood, my name is Federico, I study engeneering at the university at present... and what can I say? My main interest is the computer science and I can write here just how this passion is evolved:
All began when I was a child, because my father has a computer and camera shop. So I usually saw screens with text and images on them and I was curious about them. I remember the first experiences with some games that I found in a CD, thanks to them I became familiar with the keyboard and the mouse, with the graphic user interface with the icons and the windows, with the installers and the folders. Every now and then I explored the various programs and the operating system of a computer using that one of my father, crashing it sometimes.
My first Holy Communion was the opportunity thanks to that I got as a gift from my parents my first personal computer: an Apple Power Mac 5500.
So I started to test all the programs and all the games that I found into the CDs attached to the magazines. One day my father explained me how an animation works, so enthusiastically I began to make some very easy animations. In time, during the primaty school years, I improved my 2D animator skills and I made a last series of animations, better than the firsts, but I lost them... I would like put them in the download section of this site, but I have not found them. During the same time I got closer to the world of Internet. My father has a web site for his shop, so I resolved to remake its graphic part. Doing it I found out the HTML, the language of the web pages. After that I understood how it works, I began to make small web sites, never published, and I showed one of them at my primary school exam. Then I wanted to put a visitors' counter into one web page, so after some searches I founded a suitable PHP script, but to get it working I had to study something of the PHP language. During the study of my first web programming language, the PHP, I realized the power of that tecnology and I began with enthusiasm to write a lot of PHP script and small sites to experiment.
Meanwhile I filmed a small series of shorts, adding some virtual special effects, that gave me some knowledge of cinematography.
Then I studied the C programming language. I made some little programs and little games, some of them are in the Download section of this web site. I made my first graphic user interface developing Viaggi Stellari, a game that does not require any skill to play ;-) . Moreover I began to study the Objective-C and Cocoa, indispensable for who, like me, wants to make applications for Mac. So I made AlienKiller, MyNevermind, Connect4 Fisa, MySlotMachine, Rimario Mac.
I write C/C++ and PHP code at present, moreover I am accumulating "experience points" with the Objective-C and Cocoa.
For the future I am going to continue my informatics studies.
